Graveyard, The Circular Church, Charleston, SC

Located on Meeting Street in Charleston, the Circular Church houses one of the oldest continuous worship communities in the South. It has a long and colorful history, having withstood fire, hurricanes and other calamities over its long history.

Hand Colored – Cathedral Basilica, St. Augustine, FL

The Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine was founded in September, 1565, making it the oldest parish in the US and Canada. It sits in the center of historic St. Augustine, America’s oldest city. It underwent major renovation on its 400th anniversary in 1965 but still retains the authentic flavor of the Spanish Franciscans who founded the parish.

Courtyard at the High Battery, Charleston, SC

Shot on my trip last weekend to Charleston, SC at the foot of the city in the historic High Battery. I was walking along the waterfront promenade and caught a glimpse of this lovely courtyard with a real gas lantern in the archway, like those that burn outside most of the historic homes around this part of Charleston.
