In honor of Daytona 500 weekend, here’s two more beauties from the recent Vintage Car Rally in Palm Beach Gardens. First one is another ’39 Chevy and the second one is a gorgeous robin’s egg blue Chevy Corvette.
Shot with Nikon D5100 and post processed with Topaz Adjust, Nik Color EFX Pro and Viveza.
The other day while walking I came across this thing that looked like a big nut laying on the ground. I took it home and after a few days, the hard shell fell off and there was this beautiful seed pod! I could not believe how perfectly the pods were layered and arranged inside the shell. Another example of nature’s elegant geometry!
Shot with Nikon D5100 and Nikkor 50mm f1.8 lens and post processed with Nik Color EFX Pro and Viveza.
How many of us have started using our iPhones as out “go-to” camera when traveling, sightseeing, etc? It takes sharp photos that can even be enlarged for wall prints. Add some great apps for iPhoneography and you have incredible creative possibilities! Some are free, most are a dollar or two. Try some, find your favorites and share them with your freinds -it’s irresistable!

If you need proof of how creative the work can be just using your iPhone and apps, check out this portfolio:
I also have been following my friend Dianne Poinski’s new iPhoneography obsession and I would recommend you check out her work:
Both photos are derived from the same original photo shot with a Nikon D5100 with Nikkor 18-55 kit lens.
The first image was processed with several Photoshop and Topaz plugins to create a crisp and colorful watercolor-like appearance. The second one was processed with Nik Software Color EFX Pro and Viveza along with French Kiss Textures to achieve the look of a waterstained oil color painting.
Visited the Charleston Farmer’s Market in Marion Square on my last trip and came across a large flower booth. I was so happy to discover a big barrel full of sunflowers hiding on the side of the booth!
Shot with Nikon D5100 with Nikkor 35-120mm lens. Post-processed with Nik Silver EFX Pro, Viveza 2 and Bonnie Ziemann Textures.
Came across the lovely doorway while doing a walking tour of old Savannah, GA, one of the most fascinating and photogenic cities in the South. It is a paradise of historic 18th and 19th century architecture, filled with lush squares, historic locations and ancient trees draped with Spanish moss.
Shot with Nikon D5100, Nikkor 35-120mm lens. Post processed with Nik Color EFX Pro, Viveza and Leslie Nicole’s French Kiss Textures.
The Florida Keys are famous for their breathtaking sunsets. On any given day, the beaches are filled with people watching for the “green flash” – the moment when the sun disappears completely below the horizon.
Shot with Lumix LX-5 and post processed with Nik Color EFX Pro, Viveza, OnOne PhotoFrames Pro and French Kiss Textures by Leslie Nicole.
