Seed Pod

The other day while walking I came across this thing that looked like a big nut laying on the ground. I took it home and after a few days, the hard shell fell off and there was this beautiful seed pod! I could not believe how perfectly the pods were layered and arranged inside the shell. Another example of nature’s elegant geometry!

Courtyard at the High Battery, Charleston, SC

Shot on my trip last weekend to Charleston, SC at the foot of the city in the historic High Battery.
